What is Eyelid Aesthetics (Blepharoplasty)?

Blepharoplasty, known as eyelid aesthetics, is an operation to eliminate the problems or disorders experienced in the eyelids and around the eyes. It helps to eliminate the problems we encounter in our daily life in many ways, especially droopy eyelids, sagging of the eyelids, under-eye bags and wrinkles around the eyes.

These problems around the eyes cause you to look tired and old. With this operation, you can have a younger and smoother eye area.

How is Eyelid Aesthetics Performed?

The process starts with the application of people who have complaints about the eyelid and its surroundings to our clinic. Our patients are examined by a specialist doctor and their current status is determined. By listening to the patient's complaints and expectations, the most appropriate operation process for the person is determined.

Eyelid aesthetics is performed under general or local anesthesia in approximately 1-2 hours, depending on the patient's condition and the doctor's evaluation. The process is completed by removing excess skin and fat bags on the upper eyelid. There may be excess skin on the lower eyelid as well as oil bags without excess skin. In cases where only fat bags will be removed, the bags can be removed by making an incision through the eye. In this case, there is no incision from the outside. But if there is excess skin, we can do this without leaving a trace by entering from the eyelash level.

What is Upper Eyelid Aesthetics?

With the increase in age, the eyebrows and forehead move downwards, causing sagging and loosening of the upper eyelid, which causes an older and denser appearance. For this reason, in the aesthetic operation performed, the excess skin on the upper eyelid is removed from the fat bags.

What is Lower Eyelid Aesthetics?

It is the process of removing the excess skin, which is usually in the form of fat bags, which is formed as a result of genetics or living conditions in the lower part of the eyes. In lower eyelid aesthetics, not only bagging but also dimpling is a problem. For this reason, these pits are removed in our patients with a lot of dimpling, and a normal and youthful appearance is gained.
